Disney Adventure - Day 4: Day of Rest

Well, rest may have been an understatement because we still had to be at breakfast at a location not in our resort. The good news, it was cheaper and faster to take a cab so that’s what we did. We headed over to the Boardwalk for brunch with more characters and some play time on the beach.
The weather was a little too chilly for us to play in the water this early in the day, but we got to the restaurant so early because of our decision to take a cab so we let the boys run on the beach for a while. They loved it until the sand got in their shoes and then the game wasn’t so much fun. The timing was perfect though because as they were ready to be clean, we got paged to eat.

We had another great meal and more pictures with characters and not a triplet cried this time around! They finally were starting to realize that we weren’t going to let the characters touch them but they could still wave and smile and blow kisses. Good news all around.

Today we got to celebrate Graham at breakfast - yes, he got a cupcake at breakfast!

After we ate, we walked the boardwalk toward the Swan and Dolphin to see them up close. You see, when they were being built years ago, the crane company where my Dad worked was responsible for setting the swan statues on top of the resort. They look big from a distance but they are ENORMOUS up close so Mom and I wanted to take a minute and check it out for ourselves. I remember Dad telling me about the project and thinking how neat it was to know the history and spend a little time in the past.

After another short cab ride back to the resort and a quick change, we were off to the pool. The weather was gorgeous. Sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky and smiles were a plenty!

Picture of the toddler water play area - it was wonderful!
Where'd it go?

Jack was always just one step behind where the water was - but then again, that is the point!

Perfect water situation for toddlers!

We spent a good deal of time there and then headed back to the room for some naps. Jason stayed in the room with the boys and “worked” while Mom and I headed back to the pool for some adult time. You see, Jason had been at the pool with his buddy at night after the boys went to bed so I thought I deserved some child-free time too. Mom and I took our books and magazines and went to the Cozy Cone Pool with a cocktail in hand….ah, vacation!

We knew the boys needed some more ‘free time’ outside but decided it was getting a little chilly for the pool so we explored the rest of the resort and saw some of the other buildings we had yet to explore. Then we walked across the bridge and lake to Pop Century Resort to explore some more and play on the playground. You see, our playground was under repair – BOO! But this was an excuse to kill some time and see another play space – YEA!

Daddy encouraging us to go up the slide the wrong way so he can get a picture - thanks Dad!

Good thing those people can't move or we're in trouble!

Stopping for a photo op with Beach Goofy and a cool car

Chase headed to the Jungle Book characters....they were enormous!
We wandered until dinner time, stopped back at the restaurant on property and went to the arcade to spend some 'free' money that we got with our vacation package. I'm not sure who had more fun at the arcade, my children or my child-like husband. It was so much fun for all of us.
Cool shades, cool cup for a cool kid!

Chase is trying to figure out if this is a game he wants to spend his money on
Even the little guys got in on the action - Disney really does cater to ALL ages!
After that we headed to the room for baths and an early bed time. Why? We had EARLY breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey’s in the Contemporary Hotel next to the Magic Kingdom and our final day in the park.
