Easter Weekend - 2013

What an amazing weekend we had celebrating Easter. Of course, we can't make anything simple so we had to make a slight detour on our way to Winston about 15 minutes after we got on the road and come home for a car seat swap and clean clothes but then off we went. We finally made it to Winston to visit with Meme and Popi and Aunt Lindsey, Olivia, Addison, Allye, Uncle Marc, Aunt B and Milo. It was the first time since Allye and Milo were born that we got ALL the cousins together and boy, did they have a great time! Aunt Lindsey got some awesome pictures of us both relaxing and hard at play. She was nice enough to share them with us so you could see how talented she is. (Thanks Aunt Lindsey!)

He looks so grow up here! I can't believe he will be 5 in a few short months

She got the most shots of Anthony because he loves to ham it up for the camera!

Sweet Jack! Love the mischievous look he has.

BEST picture of Graham and what a natural smile! Hard to do with this one - kuddos Lindsey.

Running - yes, we race and run non-stop in our world

Meme created a true Kids table for lunch and then proceeded to join them. Ages are 7, 4, 4, 2, 2, 2, 18 months, 18 months

Hanging by the little red car waiting to hunt for eggs. Love this shot!

After we enjoyed an amazing lunch and some more play time, it was time to head back home. We had a low key night at home and were up early the next morning for our own egg hunt. The rain sent us inside but the Easter Bunny was ready. Each boy was assigned a streamer color and egg (soccer, basketball, baseball and football) that they had to follow and gather before finding their gifts at the end. Nana had sent a little bag too so that was part of the find.

The triplets had a shorter path to follow and all started together

This is where things got crazy as all 4 boys had to meet and end up in the same room
Chase got there first and found the group gift (rubber bases for the backyard games that are starting to happen)

After we had a light breakfast, we got all dolled up to meet Grandma, Mom-mom, Pop-pop, Uncle Matt, Aunt Jen, Bise and Meredith for brunch.

Getting ready to go to brunch - the button down shirts make them look so grown up :(

With their 6 greats - love getting these pictures and hope the kids will relish them as they grow older (C, G, M, B, J, A)

We were blessed to spend the weekend with family near and far and loved every minute of it.

Since then we have been busy, busy, busy. Of course, just before this holiday Chase was on Spring break. I had made all these amazing plans with some friends whose kids were also on break (including a gathering of 16 kids and 9 moms here at the house one day) but poor Jack got sick and we had to cancel everything! When Jack woke up with the fever, I had to explain to Chase that Jack was sick and his response was 'poor Jack' but when I continued and explained that we had to cancel the play date his response was 'poor Chase'. This kids cracks me up! I promised him that the weather was getting warmer and we would have another play date with all the kids really soon. Of course, now the pollen is in full swing so we are delaying it a few more weeks because no one wants to turn that lovely shade of yellowish-green if they don't have too.

We are heading into the home stretch of school for Chase and have a few more weekend plans coming including a quick overnight trip to the beach and a wedding in Delaware before summer really kicks into high gear. Can't wait to see what kind of excitement that brings!

Stay tuned as we get busier and busier and find more trouble to share with you!
