Getting in touch with our creative side

As the month of March rolled around, we decided to venture out of our comfort zone in several regards and try some new things. Chase tried his hand at carpentry with Daddy at a Home Depot Saturday workshop. He was quite proud of his handiwork and couldn't wait to get home and tell me all about it. Of course, that led to the beginning of new things for all the boys - playing dress up with their new outfits that allow us to pretend and be something new, if only for a little while.

Then, it struck - a week of full blown illness, yes again. Poor Chase ran a fever for an entire week which kept him out of school and all of us housebound. Of course, the weather didn't cooperate so we couldn't even get outside in our own backyard for a break. Good news? Mom pulled out some stencils and paint and we all got our hands (or bodies) dirty with some good old fashioned fun. Then we added the slide to the ball pit for our own 'outdoor' adventure.

Then Chase made a recovery in time to start soccer season on Saturday (with Dad as his coach!)
