You see, because I have no sense at all, I thought it would
be a good idea to pack up the kids and Nana and Grandma and all go to the Kids’
Museum downtown. That part doesn’t sound too bad, but the other part might –
get there when they open! That meant getting everyone up and out of the house
to drive downtown and park to be there at 9:00 AM the day after Christmas.
Turns out it might have been an ingenious idea. When we arrived there were
about 4 other families there with us. That meant that the triplets could roam
free with Chase in some of the ‘older’ play spaces. We started with basketball and hockey
followed by soccer for all.

The triplets playing basketball. In the center are baskets of varying heights for kids of all ages. Of course, they wanted to shoot at the highest one and then got frustrated when they couldn't reach the rim so I kept redirecting them back to ones their level! |

We then moved to the ‘bank’ and money room where you pay the
banker plastic balls using all these cool ramps and ultimately a giant pig
literally drops the pile of balls when you pay enough. Needless to say, all the
boys loved that room.

Waiting in anticipation for the balls to drop |

If you look closely, you can see some of the balls still in mid-air |
From there we built cars and raced them down the track and
then, to no one’s surprise, we went back to basketball and hockey.

On your mark. Get set..... |

And the winner is... |
|
Everyone - all the cars made it to the bottom - which doesn't always happen when you build them yourselves! |
We traveled downstairs
to toddler town to explore but all the boys – even the toddlers- were bored so
we moved to the submarine and the pirate ship before making one last trek to the
bank and yes, the basketball and hockey spaces one last time.
|
Graham enjoyed his fireman costume for a little while but then it was time to move on.... |

We left right before lunch and stopped for some McDonald’s
as a special treat before heading home for naps. Why did we need naps? Because
the next round of holiday fun was to be held that night before dinner….Christmas
with Nana! I will put the pictures in now so you can see the fun we had at the
museum.
