We spent a lovely weekend in Savannah to celebrate the Fourth of July. We were joined by Jason's mom, my mom, my brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece. We stayed downtown so we could enjoy lots of different activities. We started Friday night by having dinner outside at Ellis Square so Chase could run around after spending hours in the car. He was pretty worn out and slept well Friday night. We got up Saturday morning and spent a few hours at the Roundhouse. The Roundhouse is an historic train depot with a round-about. We got to ride on a steam engine and get pulled around in a engine car. Then the boys played on miniature engines and got to make a pulley cart move by pumping the handle up and down. That afternoon we went to the Yacht Club for some pool time before joining family friends, the Flemings, on their boat, "Sanshi", for dinner and fireworks over the river. On Sunday morning, Jason, Chase, Cathy and I walked along River Street. We then went to the Fleming house for lunch and a lazy afternoon. There were more fireworks that night along the river. After a great weekend, Jason was lucky to have Tuesday off so we could just regroup and get ready for Chase's birthday cookout with all the family this weekend. Here are some shots from the weekend.
